The September edition of M\u00fasica y Margaritas<\/strong> marks the start of a new academic year and transforms the campus of Carlos III University of Madrid into a space where music, creativity, and university life come together. Sponsored by the Office of the Vice Rector for Communication, Culture, and Transparency and organized by students in the Master\u2019s Program in Music Industry and Sound Studies, the festival continues to establish itself as an educational initiative in which learning extends beyond the classroom to become a cultural experience open to the entire university community. <\/p>\n
This edition presents a narrative centered on connection and welcome. The festival marks the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of students, especially those entering college for the first time or arriving from other countries through international programs. Music thus becomes a common language capable of forging connections, fostering a sense of community, and strengthening the feeling of belonging on campus. <\/p>\n
The lineup features Teo Lucadamo, KORASHE, and Curro<\/strong><\/span>\u2014three acts representative of the new Spanish music scene, with different styles and backgrounds that reflect the creative diversity of today\u2019s music. The lineup features artists with their own distinct identities, capable of connecting with the college audience through relatable messages, contemporary sounds, and authentic stage presence. Beyond the concerts, M\u00fasica y Margaritas seeks to strengthen the university\u2019s role as a cultural agent by promoting spaces for interaction where music coexists with student participation, creativity, and collaboration among the various teams that make the festival possible. CURRO
<\/span><\/b>An artist from Sanl\u00facar de Barrameda, versatile and multifaceted in his art. His musical career began in 2021 with his first mixtape, \u201c<\/span>Odysea\u201d<\/span><\/i>, which marked his debut in the music world. However, it was with his first album, \u201c<\/span>SENTIO<\/span><\/i>,\u201d that he truly found a distinctive sound and the path along which to explore his artistic journey. This album allowed him to explore and define his musical identity, fusing his Andalusian roots with a variety of genres that enrich his style. CURRO\u2019s music reflects his Andalusian roots, but its true magic lies in his ability to experiment and fuse different genres\u2014such as electronic, hip-hop, and Latin music\u2014thus blending the traditional with the contemporary.<\/span><\/p>\nIn 2024, CURRO surprised us with his EP \u201c<\/span>FANGO<\/span><\/i>.\u2019 In this project, CURRO shows us his most nostalgic side, evoking memories of summers past and those yet to come, mixed with the inescapable vertigo of growing up. On this EP, we find the single \u2018<\/span>EL PALMAR<\/span><\/i>\u2019 featuring Tony Grox, which exceeded all expectations.<\/span><\/p>\n
In late 2025, CURRO will release his new album, \u201c<\/span>Dios Dir\u00e1, Dios Proveer\u00e1<\/span><\/i>,\u201d a very personal album born out of a breakup and featuring collaborations with artists such as Kiki Morente, Estrella Morente, and Queralt Lahoz. Her sound fuses pop, electronic, and urban sounds with Andalusian and North African influences, reflecting a creative universe shaped by her Spanish and Moroccan roots. Together with producer Kf\u00e9, she has developed a unique sonic identity where experimentation, emotion, and a contemporary aesthetic closely tied to digital culture coexist.
