FLIPAS \u2013 URBAN CULTURE(S) LAB<\/strong> <\/strong>seeks to highlight urban culture as a tool that fosters a new relationship between the public and cultural institutions, shifting the perspective to view peripheral communities as cultural producers rather than passive consumers of content.<\/span><\/p>\n

This festival is organized by the<\/span> Goethe-Institut and the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise<\/b>. It is supported <\/span> by <\/span> <\/span>AC\/E <\/b>(Spanish Cultural Action of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and <\/span>EUNIC <\/span><\/b>(European Union National Institutes for Culture). To carry out the project in its area, UC3M is collaborating with the Legan\u00e9s City Council. For this edition, we are working with, among others, the <\/span>Wallonia-Brussels General Delegation in Spain<\/b>. <\/span> <\/p>\n

Community Embroidery with Stephan Goldrajch <\/span><\/h3>\n

The proposal is to create a monumental piece (6 x 3 meters) using the technique of embroidery. An activity that typically evokes the small, the individual, and the domestic is given new meaning in this urban initiative through a shift in scale, within a public context, and as a collective effort. A space for community gathering\u2014a moment and a place to come together around manual labor, while we converse and share a break from the everyday in public space. <\/span><\/p>\n

Artists: Sara Sierra Rivera (Colombia). With a bachelor\u2019s degree in Advertising and Graphic Design, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Salamanca in Spain. She has been actively involved in the advertising industry, positioning new brands in the market and launching her own startup. Pawe\u0142 Ziemicki (Poland) is a law school graduate, an optimist, and an art enthusiast who combines a passion for learning about and understanding new cultures with a desire to communicate through visual language. Together, they form the collective \u201cHappy My Atelier.\u201d <\/p>\n
