This introductory theatre workshop is a space for learning stage techniques, devising theatre and acting.

Date: Every thursday from September 30 to December 2, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (20 hours)
College credits: 1 ECTS Elective (Condiciones – crédito optativo)
Audience: UC3M students or external participants. No previous experience in the performing arts is required. (20 Plazas)

Content
The course will cover topics such as body awareness, stage presence, movement, voice and speech, providing the ideal setting to discover and develop an actor’s skills from an interdisciplinary perspective. Activities will range from improvisation to the interpretation and staging of dramatic texts. Through practice, participants will explore the approaches of some of the most influential practitioners of performing arts in the 20th century.
Intended audience
This course is intended for anyone interested in beginning or further developing their training in the various disciplines that make up the comprehensive education of a performer. It is open to UC3M students as well as external participants. No previous experience in the performing arts is required.
Teacher
Laura González Cortón is an actress, teacher, and cultural manager. She holds a degree in Performing Arts from the London-based Rose Bruford College and a degree in Sociology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV). Since 2006, she has been based in Madrid, where she has worked as an actress in a variety of stage productions while also completing further studies in live performance management and production at the Centre for Theatre Technology (Centro de Tecnología del Espectáculo). Since 2011, she has collaborated with the UC3M Arts Programme (Aula de las Artes UC3M) as a workshop instructor, acting coach for the university theatre group, and manager of artistic projects. In 2012, together with three partners, she co-founded the theatre company and production company La Belloch Teatro.
