The ACTS network is the framework that brings together a community of diverse key actors working in the field of the interrelationship between the Arts, Science, Technology, and Society in Spain. Its overall goal is to create a shared space that fosters a fluid environment for collaboration among individuals, groups, institutions, and projects from different fields—each with distinct areas of activity (research, production, education, dissemination, etc.)—but all seeking to position themselves at the ACTS intersection.
The agents working within this framework do so through the disciplinary, practical, and institutional shifts necessary to articulate that intersection.

BRING TOGETHER the diversity of ACTS practices and actors by promoting proposals, projects, programs, or joint initiatives, and help weave this fabric by addressing the diversity and complementarity of ACTS through partnerships among different actors and communities, thereby progressively expanding the network.
generate knowledge
GENERATE KNOWLEDGE about ACTS practices based on lessons learned from pilot projects and research into their development and outcomes, in order to strengthen the ACTS theoretical and practical framework, the analysis of processes, methodologies, and dynamics, and the creation of protocols and best-practices reports available to the entire community.
consolidate
CONSOLIDATE the network itself, its nodes, and their local networks by creating spaces for collaboration, dialogue, and internal listening to promote the sustainability of the ACTS sector. Promote awareness and self-recognition of the diversity and complementarity within the field to build autonomy in engaging with various government agencies.
communicate and disseminate
COMMUNICATE and DISSEMINATE information about the network’s activities, as well as the diversity of stakeholders and practices that comprise it, and connect the ACTS community by creating a repository of practices and knowledge.
build partnerships and create synergies
BUILD PARTNERSHIPS and FOSTER SYNERGIES and channels for the exchange of best practices among local, regional, national, and international contexts, as well as among government agencies, universities, scientific research centers, centers for artistic and cultural research, experimentation, and dissemination, organizations interested in eco-social challenges, and other stakeholders
