Concerts at the Prado Museum

The featured artists represent diverse expressions of urban music and have previously collaborated with various collectives prior to their performance at the Museum. Thanks to the support of the SGAE Foundation and the Prado Museum, this series offers a space where different sensibilities and approaches to the production, editing, and conception of the world of sound come together.
This creates a convergence of perspectives drawn from diverse backgrounds and contexts, all sharing a common goal: to engage with and explore the city and its many realities.

7:00 p.m. – Josephine’ Soundscapes + Yu Depeng
The Sound Artist Josephine’ Soundscapes will host an immersive listening session in one of the museum’s galleries, drawing inspiration from the rich visual quality of her works. This soundscape will seek to amplify and redefine the perception of the space and the pieces within it, creating an enveloping atmosphere that allows visitors to enter a different sensory dimension.
This sound installation will be accompanied by a visual installation by the Chinese artist Yu Depeng, who, drawing on the pictorial imagery of the selected gallery space, will create a visual work that engages with Josephine’s *Soundscapes* project. His contemporary visual approach will reconfigure elements and atmospheres inspired by the works on display, creating a bridge between the pictorial tradition, the meaning of the collection, and experimentation.
6:00 p.m. – Mamoun El Bied + Emilia Travesani
Mamoun El Bied is a Moroccan multidisciplinary artist and music enthusiast based in Madrid. He has successfully channeled his love for music through Madrid’s underground electronic scene. For three years now, he has been performing at various clubs in the capital, as well as at venues across Spain and around the world. Under his alias, findPeaks , his clubbing style is eclectic, and he places great importance on reading the dance floor, as well as the history of the club or event where he’s playing, in order to choose the right sounds. However, he particularly enjoys surprising the audience with loose, experimental rhythms and deconstructed leftfield sounds steeped in rave influences or ethnic nods.
7:00 p.m. – Irene Ivankovà
Musician, producer, researcher, and sound curator. With an eclectic musical background, her project focuses on the tensions and interactions that arise between harmony, emotion, and trance-like states as drivers of sound perception. Her work is built around vocal mantras, repetitions, and compositions in which sustained sounds and unhurried cadences create a kind of immersive sonic reverie. Conceptually, Ivankovà draws on a therapeutic approach that reinterprets New Age ethics and the principles of Pauline Oliveiros’s “deep listening.”
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Oumoukala Sow Cisse / Silvia Torres
She moves between artistic mediation, sound experimentation, and the creation of spaces where intimacy, memory, and dissent can exist freely. Through her collective , In The Wake, she explores how active listening and everyday sounds can serve as tools for care, archiving, and social transformation. She has developed projects such as SON.NIDOS at Matadero Madrid, where she facilitated encounters rooted in pause, vulnerability, and desire.
Her work is not limited to institutional settings; she collaborates with community spaces, facilitating collective processes through listening, performance, and care. She views art as an everyday and transformative practice. Her experience as a woman of color informs her creative process and positions art as a form of resistance against systems that silence voices.
