The introductory theater workshop is a space for learning stage techniques, collective creation, and acting.

Date: Every Thursday from October 1 to December 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (20 hours)
Credits: 1 ECTS Elective (Conditions – elective credit)
Intended for: Alumni, Students, Faculty and Staff, Administrative and Support Staff, General Public (20 spots available)
Price:
- 30 euros for the university community.
- 30 euros for holders of the Leganés Youth Card.
- 50 euros (foreign).

Contents
The course will cover topics such as body awareness, stage presence, movement, voice, and speech, providing the ideal setting to discover and develop an actor’s skills from an interdisciplinary perspective. The curriculum will range from improvisation to the interpretation and staging of dramatic texts. Through practical application, the course will explore the approaches of some of the most influential masters of the art of acting in the 20th century.
Recipients
This program is designed for people interested in getting started and/or deepening their knowledge of the various disciplines that make up a performer’s comprehensive training. It is open to UC3M students and external students. No prior experience in the performing arts is required.
Teacher
Laura González Cortón. Actress, teacher, and cultural manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from Rose Bruford College in London and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the UPV. She has lived in Madrid since 2006, where she has worked as an actress in various productions while also studying live performance management and production at the Center for Performance Technology. Since 2011, she has collaborated with the UC3M Arts Center as an instructor in workshops, as well as providing acting training for the theater group and managing artistic projects. In 2012, she co-founded the theater company and production firm La Belloch Teatro with three partners.
