1C – Photography Micro-Workshop: From the Shot to the Final Piece

Workshop designed for people with a basic understanding of framing, lighting, focus, and exposure. No advanced technical skills are required—just an interest in developing your own visual style and beginning to build a personal photography project.

Location: Carlos III University of Madrid (Getafe Campus), Classroom 11.0.08

Dates: November 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Program
  1. From the Isolated Photograph to the Photographic Project: what turns a collection of images into a work with a purpose. The difference between simply accumulating photographs and constructing a visual narrative.
  2. Intuition as the Origin of the Project: how to identify a personal concern, a mood, a question, or a way of seeing that can become the focus of your work.
  3. Visual coherence and a distinctive voice: the relationship between theme, form, and meaning. Aesthetic unity, rhythm, tone, light, composition, and formal choices all serve a single idea.
  4. Selection, editing, and initial presentation: how to choose images, discard them, organize them, and begin to formulate a statement that accompanies the project without limiting it.
Teacher

Chus Recio Delgado

With more than 20 years of experience studying and practicing art and photography, she regularly collaborates with various NGOs on awareness-raising projects through her work. As a teacher, she instructs students on both photographic technique and how to develop their own unique perspective.
