The September edition of Música y Margaritas marks the start of a new academic year and transforms the campus of Carlos III University of Madrid into a space where music, creativity, and university life come together. Sponsored by the Office of the Vice Rector for Communication, Culture, and Transparency and organized by students in the Master’s Program in Music Industry and Sound Studies, the festival continues to establish itself as an educational initiative in which learning extends beyond the classroom to take shape as a cultural experience open to the entire university community.
This edition presents a narrative centered on connection and welcome. The festival marks the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of students, especially those entering college for the first time or arriving from other countries through international programs. Music thus becomes a common language capable of forging connections, fostering a sense of community, and strengthening the feeling of belonging on campus.
The lineup features Teo Lucadamo, KORASHE, and Curro—three acts representative of the new Spanish music scene, with different styles and backgrounds that reflect the creative diversity of today’s music. The lineup features artists with their own distinct identities, capable of connecting with the university audience through relatable lyrics, contemporary sounds, and authentic stage presence.Opening act: Salmonetes Enfadados, winners of the University Band Competition for the 2025–2026 academic year.
CURRO. An artist from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, versatile and multifaceted in his art. His musical career began in 2021 with his first mixtape,“Odysea,” which marked his debut in the music world. However, it was with his first album,“SENTIO,”that he truly found a distinctive sound and the path to explore his artistic journey. This album allowed him to explore and define his musical identity, fusing his Andalusian roots with a variety of genres that enrich his style. CURRO’s music reflects his Andalusian roots, but its true magic lies in his ability to experiment and fuse different genres—such as electronic, hip-hop, and Latin music—thus blending the traditional with the contemporary.
In 2024, CURRO surprised us with his EP“FANGO.” In this project, CURRO shows us his most nostalgic side, evoking memories of summers past and those yet to come, mixed with the inescapable dread of growing older. This EP features the single“EL PALMAR”featuring Tony Grox, which exceeded expectations.
In late 2025, CURRO will release his new album,“Dios Dirá, Dios Proveerá,”a deeply personal record born out of a breakup that features collaborations with artists such as Kiki Morente, Estrella Morente, and Queralt Lahoz. He recently released“Ojos Que No Ven,”a track that rounds out this album, and“BOHEMIA,” the latest single from Cádiz-based artist Tony Grox’s debut album.
