Location: Auditorium on the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo campus. Carlos III University of Madrid.

Carlos III University in Madrid is hosting a collaboration between Muriel’s electronic music and Noelia López’s visual art. The two artists create an immersive experience live on stage: synthesizers and samplers generate soundscapes that blend ambient, drone, and dub, while computer programming produces images that react to the sound. Improvisation forms the backbone of this audiovisual dialogue.

Muriel
A Madrid-based producer and live performer, she is a member of the Ruidoso Paisaje collective. Her sound exploration ranges from deep listening to club music, incorporating techno as well. Flipas 2026: A Laboratory of Urban Cultures
Under the artistic direction of Mateo Feijóo, Flipas is celebrating its ninth edition with 19 artists from eight countries. Its program features residencies, workshops, concerts, and performances that bring together disciplines such as sound art, performance art, dance, graffiti, spoken word, and film.
The project was launched in 2017 as a collaboration between Naves Matadero–International Center for the Performing Arts, the Goethe-Institut Madrid, and the Alliance Française, as part of the Franco-German Cultural Fund. Since then, it has expanded its network of participating institutions and venues.
In 2026, it will receive support from EUNIC Madrid, the SGAE Foundation, the Prado Museum, La Casa Encendida, Casa San Cristóbal of the Montemadrid Foundation, Carlos III University of Madrid, and the Ayuntamiento de Leganés, among other organizations.
With activities in both the center and the outskirts of Madrid, Flipas promotes exchange between artists and young people, shared learning, and cultural participation. Its decentralized approach seeks to broaden access to contemporary art and strengthen the ties between citizens, artistic practices, and public spaces.
