The September edition of Música y Margaritas marks the start of a new academic year and transforms the campus of Carlos III University of Madrid into a space where music, creativity, and university life come together. Sponsored by the Office of the Vice Rector for Communication, Culture, and Transparency and organized by students in the Master’s Program in Music Industry and Sound Studies, the festival continues to establish itself as an educational initiative in which learning extends beyond the classroom to become a cultural experience open to the entire university community.
This edition presents a narrative centered on connection and welcome. The festival marks the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of students, especially those entering college for the first time or arriving from other countries through international programs. Music thus becomes a common language capable of forging connections, fostering a sense of community, and strengthening the feeling of belonging on campus.
The lineup brings together Teo Lucadamo, KORASHE, and Curro—three acts representative of the new Spanish music scene, each with different styles and backgrounds that reflect the creative diversity of today’s music. The lineup features artists with their own unique identities, capable of connecting with the university audience through relatable lyrics, contemporary sounds, and authentic stage presence. Opening act: Salmonetes Enfadados, winners of the University Band Competition for the 2025–2026 academic year.
TEO LUCADAMO. She’s a force of nature. Her stage presence is more contagious than a sneeze in Wuhan, and her productions are becoming increasingly ambitious.
“The White Rapper’s Dilemma” is his debut album, featuring a retro, minimalist sound inspired by hip-hop from the ’90s and 2000s and by artists such as Pharrell Williams, Q-Tip, and Outkast, while also drawing on the influence of contemporary artists like Kendrick and Tyler, the Creator.
Teo Lucadamo’s music strikes a perfect balance between seriousness and humor at all times, appealing to both seasoned listeners and casual listeners alike. He has collaborated with rap legends such as DJ Yoda and Mucho Muchacho (of 7 Notas 7 Colores) as well as rising stars of the indie and electronic scenes like Ciutat and DJ Brava, while also experimenting with productions that straddle the line between indie and Mac Miller’s hip-hop.
The world of their debut album is rounded out by an extensive visual component inspired by the work of Michel Gondry, with a video for each song that, when taken together, form a complete visual work in which the visual arts and DIY take center stage.
