“Música y Margaritas ” returns once again to the Getafe Campus of Carlos III University of Madrid on April 22 and 23. This free festival, open to the general public, was created as an initiative of the Office of the Vice Rector for Communication, Culture, and Transparency at Carlos III University of Madrid and is made possible through the collaboration of students in the Master’s Program in Music Industry and Sound Studies, who are responsible for curating, managing, and producing the event.
Gara Durán is a singer, songwriter, and producer. In 2022, she began releasing her first songs—written and produced by her—and quickly caught the public’s attention with tracks such as“VALOR,”“11:11,”“Malaquita,” and her collaboration with Barry B,“El lago de mi pena,” which has already surpassed 2 million streams. In June 2025, she released her debut EP,*Alkimia*, an intimate and delicate work—and she is currently working on her first album, set to be released in 2026, featuring new sounds while still retaining her signature harmonies and evocative lyrics.
